Kitty Kromer: Transition and Employment Services Coordinator

Kitty completed her undergraduate training in Special Education at Bowling Green State University in 1983.  After a few years in food service management, she served as a Resource Specialist in Bedford Public Schools, Auglaize County Educational Service Center, and Lima City Schools in grades K-12.  Kitty returned to the area and taught high school students with multiple disabilities for the Columbiana County Educational Service Center in 2002.  She completed her Master of Education (Special Education) and Transition to Work Endorsement in 2006.  For the last 20 years, Kitty has worked as an advocate of  job training for students with disabilities, utilizing community work experiences with her students, and collaborating with area businesses to develop new training sites.  In 2014, she became the Transition Coordinator for the CCESC.  Kitty has been involved in the evolution of Transition programming in Columbiana County, assisting with procuring a Straight A Grant, collaborating with local businesses and service agencies through PACT, opening Reach for the STARS Gift Shop, re-instituting  a vocational testing program, and securing CARF Certification.  Kitty is also a certified Work Incentive Planner and Certified Employment Support Professional.
Kitty believes in promoting the value of well-trained, loyal employees, whose differing abilities add to the assets of a company.  She also serves on the Business Advisory Board for the CCESC, collaborating with business, education, and industry to improve the employment outlook in Columbiana County.


Sarah Gamlin: Vocational Services Specialist 

Sarah has over seven years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in various academic and vocational settings.  In 2012 she graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies.  She received her Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Kent State University in 2015.  Sarah’s graduate degree focused on helping individuals with disabilities become employed in the community.  She is a Vocational Service Specialist with the ESC Work Solutions Team, which is a division of the Columbiana County Educational Service Center.  Her primary role is conducting vocational assessments with transition students and adults, Work Incentive Planning and Coordination, assisting with the Summer Youth Work and Career  Experience programs, job development, and job coaching individuals in the community.  Sarah is a certified Work Incentive Practitioner and Certified Employment Support Professional.


Debra Seevers: Intervention and Vocational Services Specialist

Debbie is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education of the Deaf.  She also has a Masters Degree from Kent State University in Special Education with an accompanying Transition to Work Endorsement.  In 1982 she began teaching students that are Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Houston, Texas.  In 1984 she moved to Ohio and was employed by the Columbiana County Educational Service Center as an Intervention Specialist.  She is an experienced teacher, having worked with elementary through high school students with varying disabilities.  For many years as a high school teacher, she was instrumental in planning and job coaching work-experience sites utilized by her students.  Because of her interest in students that need life skills and work related training, she was able to move into the Transition program to teach students with disabilities ages 18-22.  Now, she is part of the ESC Work Solutions Team as a Vocational Service Specialist, where she assists the Transition Coordinator in all things transition.  Debbie is a Certified Employment Support Professional.
